Family and Community Support
Romania has a population of approximately 22 million people spread across 42 regions. The Sibiu region is in the centre of the country and has a population of 450,000 people.

At present our focus on family and community support is within the Sibiu region, and has been primarily directed towards those in the village of Mosna and the City of Sibiu. Mosna is a village with a population of approximately 2,500 people and Growth for Tomorrow is working in conjunction with the local community to provide practical assistance and support to many families in the village struggling with various economic hardships.

This support is targeted to the specific needs of the people includes financial assistance, counselling services, medical support and assistance, and is tailored by our volunteers in Romania to meet the most urgent needs of the people in the community.

Some of the projects where we have provided support to families and youth in the Sibiu region include:

Financial assistance and salary top ups
Medical support and funding for specialist cases
Visiting those in hospital and providing for their care
Monthly sponsorships to buy food Supplying firewood for winter
Accommodation assistance
Providing appliances & furniture to those in need
Digging wells for clean water
Providing transport
Providing Christmas food parcels for families
